You want an aviary. We make having one hassle-free.
Most businesses struggle to keep their aviaries clean, resulting in unhappy customers, residents, and unhealthy birds.
Whether you have an existing aviary or you’d like to lease a new aviary, Serenity can help.
Check out this 30-second video to see one of our service techs in action.
Aviary Cleaning Activities
Our aviary services include:
- Wiping down the glass
- Cleaning and refilling the feeder/waterer
- Sanitizing Accessories
- Replacing bedding
- Cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces
- Checking the health of your birds including nail clipping
- Dusting off the exterior of the aviary
Wiping down the glass
On each visit, we use a microfiber cloth and a 50/50 water and vinegar solution to wipe down the inner and outer glass of your aviary.
Between service visits, we recommend doing this activity once or twice a week. Each Serenity Aviary comes with a pull-down shade to keep your birds inside while you do this, and it should take no longer than 5 minutes. Your local service tech will explain and demonstrate the process.
Cleaning and Refilling Infinity Feeder
Our Infinity Feeder is an exceptional feature in bird aviaries. The innovative design allows it to hold and keep food and water fresh for weeks. In other words, you’ll never have to touch it!
We provide you with more than enough food to last between services. During our visit, we’ll clean off any feces or debris on the feeder. We will also refill it with new birdseed and fresh water that will last until your next service date.
Sanitizing and Repositioning Accessories
We sanitize all the branches, swings, nests, and any other decor in the aviary. If any of these objects are damaged or worn out, we will replace them at no extra charge.
We may also reposition the accessories in the aviary. For example, realigning swings and branches allow the finches to explore and find new favorite spots to perch.
While we want to keep things consistent inside the aviary, moving decor is a small change that can benefit your birds physically and mentally.
Replacing bedding
Replacing the bedding of an aviary is the longest, but most important activity of our aviary services. This will remove feces, leftover food, and other unhealthy debris. Then, after sanitizing the bottom of the aviary, we add fresh bedding. Again, no additional charge to you.
Checking the Health of Your Birds
Your service tech will briefly look over the health of your birds.
It’s hard to diagnose a specific illness just by the appearance of a bird. It is, however, much easier to notice behavioral changes that may be a result of sickness.
So, we ask that our clients inform us if they notice any significant changes in behaviors. Some telltale signs of a sick finch include:
- Excessive feather plucking/scratching
- Sneezing and coughing
- Overly lethargic behavior
- Certain birds aren’t singing anymore
- Other birds are avoiding a specific bird
One sick bird can spread that illness to others, so we may have to remove those not feeling well and provide further care for them. Then, we will replace the bird(s) when appropriate.
We also ask that if a bird passes away, you remove it from the enclosure as soon as you notice it. Then, please contact our support team for the next steps.
Dusting Off the Aviary
As a courtesy, your service rep will dust off the exterior of the aviary. This is a simple task you can do between service visits for the best viewing experience.
Following this activity, your service rep will meet with you (if you’re free) to review the service visit and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Devise a Service Plan for You
The aviary cleaning service package you choose will be dependent on the size of your aviary and how many finches you want inside. But, just as your aviary is customizable, so is your service package.
Because of our local service reps, we can offer a high degree of scheduling flexibility. In fact, we have Serenity service techs located in 40 states across the country.
